CommerceTel and iLoop Mobile Partner to Offer IVR for Mobile Initiatives


A partnership has been announced between CommerceTel (News - Alert) and iLoop Mobile. The two companies have come together to offer CommerceTel IVR technology for mobile initiatives delivered by the iLoop Mobile (News - Alert) mFinity platform.


Brands, marketers, content owners, and enterprises can leverage this strategic relationship and include voice-based audience interaction with their mobile initiatives. The combination of iLoop Mobile applications for SMS-based initiatives and mobile content distribution and CommerceTel voice-based mobile technology offers companies deploying mobile initiatives a variety of mobile initiative opt-in and participation options.

“The use of IVR is an effective methodology for enabling consumer participation in mobile campaigns. It gives the audience a familiar way to interact with the content, because all they have to do is dial a phone number,” said Dennis Becker, president and CTO of CommerceTel. “We are committed to the delivery of scalable IVR solutions — a solid match for the iLoop Mobile mFinity platform which is designed to make creating and controlling mobile initiatives easy and cost effective.”

With the CommerceTel technology, callers are able to interact with a campaign by dialing a voice call and using familiar voice menus and touch-tone commands, or receive a voice call by sending a text message. The iLoop Mobile technology powers a suite of interactive text messaging, alert messaging, and mobile Internet programs, in addition to mobile content delivery optimized for each individual phone model. Content is then delivered quickly and enables the user to instantly execute the campaign call to action.

As much as research has found that consumers as a whole do not like automated voice systems and prefer to talk to an individual, the reality is that our desire for real-time information at all times is stronger than any dislike of automated technology. The result is that we will continue to accept such methods to get the information we want, when we want it.

CommerceTel and iLoop Mobile appear to understand this drive for demand and how to respond to customers in the desired timeframe and methods. As a result, the companies’ combined solution will draw even greater demand, increasing adoption across the board.
