Tred Teams with SemaSys For Green-Tech Digital Display Products

Albuquerque-based Tred Displays Corporation, a manufacture of low-cost, reflective, bi-stable "green tech" displays for the signage industry has teamed up with SemaSys Corporation, a provider of performance-driven solutions for the retail environment, to jointly launch the world's first HybridSign products.
This new “hybrid sign” products offers an entirely new concept to the signage market segment.
Green-Tech products are those which consumes very minimal or even nil power and here the energy is powered by batteries or solar cells.
Tred Displays has been contributing greatly to an eco (News - Alert)-friendly, affordable products.This newly developed low cost signage display from Tred Displays is based on entirely a new type of sign concept, a “hybrid sign” where digital content can be added to conventional printed graphics. Shipment of HybridSign products are expected in the third quarter of 2008.
HybridSigns offer wireless communication and are slim and lightweight, making installation fast and inexpensive.
Tred’s technology functions on proprietary meso-scale electromagnetic technology. It offers 75 percent reflectivity, low-power “clean-tech” operation, 5mm thickness and <5Kg per square meter.
"Our commercial relationship with SemaSys moves Tred Displays from a technology development company to a display manufacturing company," said Chuck Edwards, President and CEO of Tred Displays.
"SemaSys is a leader in their market and makes an excellent commercial partner for Tred," added Edwards.
