Critical Links, a provider of converged data and networking solutions for SMBs today announced that ITIQ Solutions (News - Alert) has entered into a reseller agreement.

This latest agreement will make Critical Links’ flagship product, the edgeBOX, available to ITIQ customers worldwide. A multi-service business gateway appliance, edgeBOX provides a full fledged VOIP/ IP-PBX and a host of data and IT services in a single device.

Critical Links (News - Alert) informs that the newest version of edgeBOX, release 4.6, includes “increased functionality in fault tolerance, security, provisioning and usability, and hardware support.”

Company officials explained that edgeBOX replaces up to 8 specialized solutions with a single integrated device, providing SMB customers with a complete networking infrastructure that is “simple to install and configure, easy to maintain and upgrade and can be managed remotely.”

Available on a range of scalable platforms that support up to 300 users, customers can leverage edgeBOX services ranging from VOIP, IP-PBX (News - Alert), VPNs, security, NAC and QoS, and also web server, e-mail server and data storage.

“ITIQ is delighted to be working with Critical Links to deliver its cutting edge technology to our small to medium-sized business customers to meet their various VOIP and network infrastructure needs,” said Jon Dessel, president at ITIQ Solutions.

ITIQ offers hosted, mobile, and managed IT services, and specializes in providing on-premise and hosted enterprise Information Technology solutions. Dessel also indicated in a press statement that his company sees the edgeBOX as an important system to support their IntelligentSuite hosted business services.

Noting that his company’s Customers require the ability to locally store and have access to their business applications, he pointed out that this is where the company sees a great advantage to offering the edgeBOX.

“With the edgeBOX, we are able to provide our customers a wide range of business features and services at an impressive cost point,” added Dessel.

Abdul Kasim (News - Alert), vice president of global marketing and business development at Critical Links, believes that this latest partnership expands Critical Links’ presence in the marketplace.

He also said that the partnership with ITIQ provides further validation that “our edgeBOX provides one of the broadest voice/data networking suites for companies that typically have not been able to access this level of capability at an affordable price point.”
