By Tim Gray TMCnet Web Editor
Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC (News - Alert)) today announced CommuniGate's Pronto! flash-based Unified Communications (UC) client received the 2007 Product of the Year winner from Unified Communications magazine.
Pronto!, a client from rich media Internet communications company CommuniGate Systems, is the only Web 2.0 Unified Communications (News - Alert) client, bringing together e-mail, voice, messaging, and groupware, along with HD multimedia entertainment applications, according to Jon R. Doyle, VP Business Development at CommuniGate Systems (News - Alert).
"We're honored to be recognized by Unified Communications in their inaugural awards. Both the award and publications are a great testament to the fact that Unified Communications is without a doubt changing the way people work, play, communicate, and collaborate," said Jon R. Doyle, VP Business Development at CommuniGate Systems. "Pronto! unifies all the new forms of Internet Communications and rich media in a highly intuitive, easy-to-use framework. And the newly launched Pronto! 2.0 delivers an even more engaging media experience with support for HD video and audio."
The Pronto! also allows users to chat with friends, send e-mail, place a VoIP
call, catch HDTV shows, stream HD quality audio, and more -- all from an easy-to-use interface. Based on Adobe Flash and Adobe Flex 3 technology, Pronto! maintains the same look and feel across any operating system and choice of internet browser.
Pronto!'s modular framework enables service providers and third party developers to create customized Web 2.0 applications that give consumers a richer, more social web experience with unique applications like IPTV
with integrated chat, shopping carts, and community voting.
"Unified Communications magazine bestows Product of the Year awards on companies that have demonstrated excellence in technological advancement and application refinements. These winners have demonstrated to the editors of Unified Communications that their products or services have gone the extra mile to help improve both the customer experience and the ROI for the companies that use them," said Rich Tehrani (News - Alert), TMC President and Group Editor-in-Chief of Unified Communications. "CommuniGate Systems deserves this great honor for driving industry innovation with their Pronto! Unified Communications dashboard."
