Messaging International Plc, a provider of messaging services, announced that its subsidiary TeleMessage Ltd has been listed in the Deloitte (News - Alert) Technology Fast 500 EMEA. The company was ranked number122 on the list.

In addition to the ranking on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500 EMEA list, TeleMessage was included in the Deloitte Israel Technology Fast 50 Awards, ranked number 14.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMEA recognizes the 500 fastest growing technology companies in Europe, Middle East and Africa. The rankings are based on the percentage revenue growth of companies over the past five years, from 2002 to 2006. During this period, TeleMessage Ltd had grown 1340 percent.

 The Fast 500 list is compiled from Deloitte's 16 regional North American Fast 50 programs. The nominations are submitted directly to the Fast 500 as well as the public company database research.

 

In order to qualify for the award, companies must own proprietary intellectual property or proprietary technology, which contributes significantly to the company's operating revenues. Alternately, companies need to allot a significant proportion of revenues to research and development of technology.

 

A company doesn’t qualify in a distinctive way if it uses another company’s technology or intellectual property. At the same time, the base-year operating revenues for the company must be at least $50,000 USD or $75,000 CD, while current-year operating revenues must be at least $5 million USD or CD. In addition to this, they must be in business for a minimum of five years, and they must have their headquarters within North America.
