The India-based office of Mobifusion Inc., a global developer of premium mobile content, along with India’s ORG Ltd., has unveiled a range of next generation mobile content applications in collaboration with Dialog Telekom (News - Alert), Sri Lanka’s leading mobile operator.
Mobifusion partners with leading media and publishing companies in order to develop and offer innovative mobile content products to global consumers. Its patented m-publishing technologies offer rich information and entertainment products across wireless platforms.
Pavan Mandhani, Mobifusion’s founder and CEO, believes the Dialog deal will enable the company to market its technology more effectively to leading operators across the world. In a press release he said, “Mobifusion continues to provide premium mobile content that is entertaining and adds just a little bit of spice to a subscriber’s daily life. We look forward to developing more innovations for the ever popular, on-the-go lifestyle.”
Dialog Telekom is an ISO 9001 certified company and a subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia (News - Alert). The company operates a 2.5G GSM
Network, which offers support to all the latest services associated with multimedia and mobile internet.
With the help of the Face Morphing range of face-recognition technologies, Dialog customers can play around with their photos, creating avatars and look-alikes. The face-photo or a mug-shot of the user can be sent through MMS, which is then matched by the application with international celebrities. The application then sends an MMS of the morphed photo, which is a look-alike picture of the celebrity. Additionally, users can also test their artistic skills by creating portraits, Animal versions or Manga look-alike versions.
“MMS Morphing will bring a new and exciting dimension to Dialog Subscribers,” said Nushad Perera, Group chief marketing officer of Dialog Telekom, in the press release. “Dialog has always been the first to introduce the latest innovations, and it is indeed with delight that we partner today with ORG Telecom and Mobifusion to present more Value Added Services to the Sri Lankan consumer. Dialog was the first to offer services like SMS, MMS and 3G
, and this launch reaffirms our unrelenting determination to constantly revolutionize our customers’ mobile experience.”
“These are fun, funky features,” Perera had added. “The mobile phone is now our most faithful companion, it keeps us connected, entertained and occupied – these features are designed to enhance our mobile experience and give customers an opportunity to add value to their communications.”
