With the advent of to Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 software, things are bigger, better and definitely more colorful for Smugmug members.

Supported by Windows, Photoshop Elements makes the photo editing experience a whole lot simpler by locating, examining and altering images effortlessly as well as offering the ability to edit photos before they appear on the net.

"We wanted to work with Adobe to help simplify the process of posting photos online," stated Chris MacAskill, SmugMug cofounder. "Direct, integrated photo uploading to SmugMug was launched with Adobe Photoshop Elements 5 and we are excited to continue our integration inside of Adobe Photoshop Elements 6," he added.

Some additional qualities of Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 include easy personalization of photos, error correction and color balance. Members can “share with SmugMug” by clicking on a simple drop down menu to upload pics in a user’s gallery.

With the new Photomerge technology an ideal group photo can be designed by merging the most appropriate facial expressions and body language from a string of shots into one unified snapshot.

"We are happy to work with companies like SmugMug that enable consumers to share photos online," said Jim Mohan, director of product management for Consumer Digital Imaging and Digital Video at Adobe. "We focused on making Photoshop Elements 6 a complete solution for our customers, which means they don't have to leave the application to view, edit, create or share. We've integrated popular services like SmugMug into the Photoshop Elements experience, so sharing photos with friends and family is convenient and easy."
