TalkSwitch Unveils New IP Telephone Handsets and New Hybrid IP PBXs
By Susan J. Campbell TMCnet Contributing Editor
TalkSwitch (News - Alert), a designer and manufacturer of innovative telephone systems for small and multi-location businesses, has unveiled its line of new IP
telephone handsets. The company has also announced the addition of six new hybrid IP PBXs to its VS line of small business phone systems.
The development of new IP telephone handsets augments the existing line of analog TalkSwitch handsets and provides customers with an unprecedented level of choice in the way in which they communicate.
TalkSwitch IP phones are available in three models and are designed to offer advanced features such as line appearance and are positioned as the perfect solution for teleworkers or employees who split time between office locations.
The phones work just like extensions in the office and allow for complete integration of those employees. Off-site workers can even join ring groups and have complete access to queues. The IP phones are also positioned as being ideal for workers in the office that want to be able to view and engage callers in the queue and park lists at the touch of a button.
To add to their appeal, the phones automatically configure themselves when connected to the same LAN
as a TalkSwitch, ensuring easy integration and installation. The phones plug directly into the data network, eliminating the need to run additional wires to the workstation, making installation in an office environment even more appealing.
“Offering a line of IP phones is a benefit to our customers and reseller partners alike,” said Jan Scheeren, President and CEO, TalkSwitch, in a Tuesday statement.
“These phones extend the full power of TalkSwitch systems to teleworking employees and offer the easiest integration of any IP phone on the market, while workers in the office are able to access advanced call handling features and have a lot of additional call handling flexibility. Our analog phones have proven extremely popular and we expect these IP phones to be just as successful with customers.”
The addition of the IP PBXs is meant to offer customers even greater flexibility in designing the ideal phone system for their business.
New systems are now available across each TalkSwitch series. The 248vs joins the 200 series. This model offers the capacity for 2 incoming lines, 4 local extensions (analog or IP), 12 IP extensions and 8 VoIP
trunks. The 288vs offers 2 incoming lines, 8 local extensions (analog or IP), 8 IP extensions and 8 VoIP trunks.
The 400 series has been expanded to include the 488vs featuring 4 incoming lines, 8 local extensions, 8 IP extensions and 8 VoIP trunks.
TalkSwitch has also introduced the brand new 800 series that includes the 840vs with capacity for 8 incoming lines, 4 local extensions and 12 IP extensions. The 844vs offers 8 incoming lines, 4 local extensions, 12 IP extensions and 4 VoIP trunks, while the 848vs offers 8 incoming lines, 4 local extensions, 12 IP extensions and 8 VoIP trunks.
“These systems nicely round out our offerings,” said Scheeren.“The 840vs, 844vs and 848vs give our customers who need a higher number of incoming phone lines a great way to get the lines and extensions they need at our most affordable price ever.”
“The 248vs, 288vs and 488vs deliver outstanding performance, and give customers even more flexibility to customize their own solution. All these systems offer the great TalkSwitch features our customers have come to expect, at prices that set a new standard for value.”
Like all TalkSwitch systems, these new models can be upgraded and networked together to a maximum of 4 TalkSwitch units with capacity for 32 incoming phone lines, 64 local extensions and 32 VoIP trunks per office location.
With the announcements of both extensions for TalkSwitch, the company is answering a strong demand in the small- and medium-sized (SMB) business sector to deliver phone systems that can work within their innovative environments. More and more employees are mobile, yet still have the need for the same communication functionality as if they were in the office at all times.
This mobility is more likely to increase than decrease, thus driving the need for advanced systems such as those offered by TalkSwitch. By anticipating market trends, the company will be able to capitalize on its innovation.
