Ultra-sleek and feature-packed, the Nokia 2630 mobile phone helps

consumers connect and share with friends and family

TORONTO, March 27 /CNW/ - Nokia today announced the Canadian launch of the Nokia 2630 mobile phone. Available through Videotron and Petro Canada, the Nokia 2630 handset is designed with form and function in mind and packs style, connectivity, personalization, and entertainment into an ultra-thin and compact design.

At a mere 9.9 mm thick, the Nokia 2630 is the thinnest handset in Nokia's portfolio and balances a modern design with a full range of features to meet Canadian consumers' needs. An easy-to-use camera, combined with Bluetooth technology, gives users a number of options when it comes to communicating and sharing their experiences.

"The Nokia 2630 phone offers Canadians a feature-packed, yet easy-to-use handset," said Dave Bergeron, Director New Channel Development, Nokia Canada. "By way of Videotron and Petro-Canada, and through the handset's features and functions, like a camera and Bluetooth technology, we are making connecting fun by enabling consumers to reach their friends faster and share their experiences on the go."

Easy-to-use camera

Featuring a VGA camera with 4x digital zoom and a dedicated side-mounted camera key, the Nokia 2630 lets users snap their favourite moments. Whether it's taking a picture of friends and family at a special occasion or shooting a 2-minute video of the highlights from a sporting event or concert, the handset makes it quick and easy to capture special moments.

Bluetooth

The Bluetooth connectivity makes hands-free calling simple when paired with a Bluetooth headset, like the Nokia BH-101 or BH-208. The technology also lets users easily send, store and print photos and share MP3 ringtones and wallpapers with friends.

Developed with great design, value, functionality and fun in mind, the Nokia 2630 also incorporates Nokia's marketing leading voice-quality and reliability and gives users access to a variety of additional features including:

<<
- Quick content downloads and data transfer capabilities to quickly
download wallpapers, themes and ringtones and transfer and
synchronize data with Nokia PC Suite
- FM radio to stay entertained with music and news on-the-go
- Pre-installed applications, including a currency converter and
expense manager, to help users work smarter
- Phonebook with up to 1,000 contacts
- Nokia Xpress audio, multimedia, and text messaging to quickly get
your point across
