Neoris Joins SAP's Industry Value Network For Travel and Logistics Services
MIAMI --(Business Wire)-- Neoris, a global business and IT consulting company, today announced its participation as a member of SAP AG's industry value network (IVN) for travel and logistics services.
The IVN for travel and logistics services brings together leading travel and logistics technology vendors, independent software vendors (ISVs) and systems integrators, such as Neoris, with SAP to focus on key priority business needs and opportunities in the travel logistics services industry. The IVN drives strong collaboration between members to accelerate co-innovation; to provide integrated, multi-vendor solutions and services that support key end-to-end business processes; and to transform the business networks of customers.
For most companies the last mile in the supply chain is a blind spot. Despite improved telecommunications, logistics-intensive industries continue to be limited in their ability to monitor and control execution in real time and integrate operational data into the enterprise. Neoris' participation in the IVN and its vision and expertise for last-mile logistics and transportation management will enable these companies to streamline operational activities, reduce lost and damaged freight, decrease load and delivery errors, increase visibility of operational data and respond to potential supply chain disruptions before they become crises.
"We are excited about the new development and market opportunities that the industry value network provides to system integrators and service providers such as Neoris," said Lionel Carrasco, Chief Technology Officer at Neoris. "Our membership in the IVN for travel and logistics services will further enable customers to leverage the last-mile logistics capabilities of ActiveSuite(TM) with the SAP NetWeaver(R) platform, including enhanced integration with the SAP(R) ERP and the SAP Transportation Management applications and other SAP solutions."
Neoris is a long-time SAP services partner with deep experience in mobile technology for logistics for customers such as Ryder Systems, CEMEX, Prosegur and Gator Leasing, among others around the world. In 2007, Neoris' ActiveSuite(TM) achieved "Powered by SAP NetWeaver" status, allowing customers who integrate ActiveSuite with the SAP ERP application using the SAP Supply Chain Management (SAP SCM) application and SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) Release 6.0 to gain an event-driven solution that delivers automated real-time visibility to track and trace vehicles and cargo.
Members of the IVN for travel and logistics services will collaborate on transportation management, shipper-carrier integration, e-Postal services, order-to-cash/mass billing, and last mile delivery. The IVN will also work with members of SAP's industry advisory council for travel and logistics services comprised of 16 major companies.
